Protecting your hair poolside

It's that time of year again! It's warm so you want to be in that pool. But you just invested in a beautiful new color and a latex swim cap just isn't your style. Even if you don't color your hair, you don't want it to turn green! Here's how to take care of your hair and still stay cool-

Every person getting in the water is supposed to rinse off anyway but it's especially important to protect your hair. Don't just get your arm wet- hop in the locker room shower and hose off! Get your hair WET. If you get your hair saturated with regular tap water it's not going to soak up as much of the chorine. If you want to go the extra mile, use a generous amount of leave-in conditioner after you hop out of the shower.

After you're done with the pool for the day go ahead and hop back in that shower. Even if you got your hair super saturated and used a leave-in you still had that pool water on you. Shampoo and Condition as usual.

For even more protection, I recommend the Jack Winn Pro Pre-Treat Clarifying Spray. This product helps loosen up any mineral deposit caused by hard water or pools. Just spray a generous amount throughout your hair about 10 minutes before you shower. You can find it here.
